As far as bombing the railways is concerned that would have been impossible - bombing wasn't accurate enough. Anyway, to attack such targets would have meant flying over to eastern Germany. Bombing the west was quite dangerous enough.
But I am not sure about your condemnation of the Germans. I always put myself in the shoes of a decent German. What is he supposed to do? Oppose the regime? He gets sent to a concentration camp - if he's lucky. Now, we don't know how many decent Germans there were but we do at least know that the Nazis never won a fair election.
