I find the rush by French politicians to offer up comments on his passing interesting. If some of the obituaries I read of M. Marceau were accurate he had every reason to spit on his fellow French men and leave the wretched country that handed his father over to die in a concentration camp for being a French Jew. Apparently M. Marceau escaped his tather's fate and served in the French Resistance. Both items I had not known.
Cannot help but wonder if those years of watchful silence did not help to hone his gifts.
