TooTall: I've been trying to make and sell tee-shirts with my Che Guevara / Mickey Mouse (AKA "MiChe" Mouse) for years now, but with little luck so far. I briefly had them up on CafePress, until they shut down the account on (phony) grounds of copyright infringement—No big deal, as the quality of CafePress products is not very good anyway.

I was then contacted by a "libertarian" community site in the US who asked for permission to make and sell them, in exchange for a percentage on the sales. They still do, but since I regularly have to email and remind them to stick to their part of the agreement (the little "percentage of the sales" detail)—and with no luck in actually seeing the money—I hope you'll understand that I can't recommend them here.

As far as I know, they are still the only place online where you can find my Che Guevara design. Just know that if you order it, I'm pretty much being ripped off my share. These alleged defenders of free market Capitalism behave like Socialist spoliators as far as I am concerned.

I'm not done trying to find the proper outlet to produce these tees, particularly since I am holding out on my shelves quite a few other designs in the same spirit (though not all related to Che) for what could be, I believe, an interesting web store for the "right minded" online shopper. I had an eye on spreadshirt.com, in part because they would allow for a much better print quality than what CafePress or that Libertarian community has to offer, until I found out that this German company has people like that on the board:

"Schlauch has been a member of the Green party since 1980 and was elected into the Lower House of the German Parliament in 1994. At the beginning of the first red/green coalition in the fall of 1998, he took over the chairmanship of the Green fraction with Kerstin Müller which he ran until the end of legislation in 2002."

... And figured it would be pointless to reiterate the CafePress Incident, which would be a given if my designs had to go through the approval of a company with former chairmen of a "the first red/green coalition" on board. Compared to what I have in my drawers, the MiChe one is actually quite innocent :)

I'm still on the lookout however, not that I absolutely want to make heaps of money out of this (though that would be a fair bargain in exchange for running this site out of my pocket and without ads, I suppose), but simply because I know, in all modesty, that this is a great meme, and would like to see it out there in "the real world". I hope I can find a way to finally produce and offer my Che Guevara with Mickey Mouse ears design on all kinds of clothing as soon as possible.

(Incidentally, I exchanged a couple of emails with NRO's Jay Nordlinger, following the publication of that article. Nice fellow through and through.)
