As H.L. Mencken once said, "Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want and deserve to get it good and hard."
I had a conversation with my father about this yesterday when things started to look bad. Maybe it's a little early to prophesize doom for my country, but I decided to pin the flag upside down on my backpack when I attended class today.
On a lighter note I can now use the "dissent is the highest form of patriotism" bumper sticker against the idiots that created it. Democrats need to learn that the door swings both ways.
