After giving some careful contemplation of our soon to be president (and after reading through his books -- a thankless task but a valuable one I think) I'm afraid that this is just the tip of the iceberg.
The protectionism and economy smashing of Monsieur O has very little to do with him being a naifish ideologue with unicorns and rainbows in his eyes. Neither does his espoused foreign policy have much to do with stardust and glitter.
No, the wailing and gnashing of teeth will be a mere child's play if this man manages to get his "burning of the Reichstag" moment (and he wants one ... badly). God help us all if he gets it.
Of course, I hope I'm completely off course in my estimation of him and will be proven the abject fool. This is the one sneaking bad hunch that causes me to lose some of my optimism for the future and to worry. Let's hope I'm wrong, or that events will be such that he's forced to be Jimmy C. 2.0 instead of what I think he really wants to be in his heart of hearts.
