My father flew the Pink Lady on her last Combat mission. He went on to have a career in the USAF, and is thankfully still healthy. He has become quite close with the French guys who have cared for her over the years, and they have accompanied him to his reunions in the past 5 years. There are some real heros on the French side who have given their all to make sure she has flown as long as she has. I’ve got stories and more pics of her if you are interested.
