I'll begin upgrading the publishing software powering this site (Expression Engine) to the latest version in a few minutes.

As this is a rather important change, that introduces some features that might conflict with existing modules, you may witness some rather strange phenomenons during the upgrade rite. Fear not, and pray the Backup Gods.

Update on the update


Okay, doing good. The only anomalies I noticed so far were a sudden mix-up with publishing times, which made this very entry vanish in the DST limbo; a few custom edits in some system files I've forgot to replicate before the update (all hail the Backup Gods); and somehow the SQL query that gives a count of entries per category in the sidebar tab has, well, lost the count, and now reports a single entry in many a category that has more.

This one is going to be a bugger I suspect.

Je vais commencer à mettre à jour le logiciel de publication de ce site (Expression Engine) vers la dernière version dans quelques instants.

Comme il s'agit d'une mise à jour assez importante, qui introduit de nouvelles fonctions impliquant des conflits potentiels avec des modules existants, il se peut que vous soyez témoins de phénomènes étranges durant le rituel de mise à jour. Ne craignez point, et priez les Dieux de la Sauvegarde.

Ok, ça va pas mal. Les seules anomalies que je constate jusqu'ici sont un cafouillage subit avec les dates de publication, qui ont fait disparaitre cette entrée dans les limbes du DST; quelques modifs perso dans des fichiers système que j'ai omis de répliquer avant la mise à jour (loués soient les Dieux de la Sauvegarde); et il semble que la requête SQL qui donne le compte des entrées par catégorie dans l'onglet de la colonne de côté ait perdu le compte, et retourne maintenant une entrée unique dans de nombreuses catégories qui en comportent plusieurs.

J'ai comme l'impression que celle-là va me les briser.

Hey, where's all the stuff?

I am rebuilding the site from the ground up.

As of September 02, 2020, only basic blogging is implemented.

Features that were previously available—and a bunch of new ones—are still under (re)construction, and will be deployed gradually as soon as they are ready. That includes the site-wide search engine, the blogroll, membership registration and, well, more...
