Yes, I saw that House bill—I’ll give the totalitarian bastards (I will not call them liberals—they are not liberal in the true definition of the term) credit: they are leaving none to chance! And are being very good at pincers and envelopment, as well as distraction and spin.
With that, as both sustainable food grower/raiser and as hunter I think I’ll prepare myself for the inevitable—my family are, I think, what used to quaintly be called in another place and time “kulaks”. At least, may we have some fun before it’s all said and done.
And stupid “greenies” are some of my favorit-est people to have fun with—their stupidity is in turn stultifying. One educated idiot of the wily ways of deer tried poisoning them (and snagged a fair number of Gaia’s other poor creatures in the process) because they were coming into her yard and eating her (organic, heirloom, and whatever else eco-ista her plants were) veggies, shrubbery, and landscaping…she and her significant other (who is a man, but not a “man”, does that make sense?) were a bit peeved when some clever to the wily ways of deer but not so educated at college folks informed them that putting out so much corn for the little woodland creatures is what caused the problem in the first place, and rather than put out poison which is indiscriminate, why not call in some hunters, or put up some deterrents, or just quite laying out the damn corn! If you all would like I can regale you with tales of the heritage farm days fair and the college eco/greenie/church of global warming attendees going there and handling real, live farm animals.

Since you can feel my pain, then revel in my schadenfreude as well: picture a very typical college, vegan type couple (complete with hemp clothes and eau de patchouli…and PETA buttons, did they realize they were acting as oppressors that day?) attempting to “get back to a more natural way of life”...goes to aforementioned rural heritage days and both have a go at the plowing exhibit (featuring Becky the Percheron and plow, courtesy of some local Amish). I’ll give them props for being good sports—because they were the butt of some pretty biting remarks and laughter. It was freaking hilarious—at least they used Becky; it would have been tragic if an actual pull team had been in place—hemp sandals and dreadlock/cornrow braids caught up in the slipstream.
