It's up to you, either you lose 1 hour 40 of your life watching another cheap anti-American analogy of the Iraq war posturing as a talentless horror movie, or you spend only 1 minute 58 on my parody of its opening sequence and move to something more productive before the week is over (the clip is on top, the poster is here).

Yeah, I know, I'm a bit late for this party. Hope there's still some beer left though.

Grimmy, I was talking about that attitude in terms that were the most comfortable since my father was in the Corps in WWII and Korea and I from 0-17 and 73-82. If it helps my multiservice image any, I was in the Navy during 'Nam. The point that I wanted to make is that with all the former servicemen and women there would not be much concern given to the defeatest leadership when the other shoe fell. It's hard to deal with what comes out on the news today and if the choice had to be made the political game would be considered over by folks on the liberal side as well as those of us who are ready right now. It's only the losers that believe implicitly in what the Democrats are saying. Some of their congressmen aren't toeing the line these days either. And lest I be misunderstood, I have a brother who had a high lottery number and he's a force to be reckoned with also. Sometimes I use too much humor, my bad.

Sorry about that. I didn't mean to go all preachy. It's a defensive reaction of mine. I used to get yelled at for being too USMC centric in my world view.

Now I make full effort to be all inclusive whenever US military issues get brought up. That's about as "multi culti" as I can get though.

Semper Fi! y'all.

No problemo, although if you see me using humor do me a favor and humor me. Normally I'm harmless unless I'm behind a Barrett 99 in .50, in which case even the guys in the shack aren't safe.

If anyone sees "Rescue Dawn", would you let me know if it's good? It's supposed to actually be different - the Americans are the good guys! Here's a trailer for it:

Leonidas, thanks for the link but I've seen the argument before. MUZZAMIL SIDDIQI states that civilians are not to be targeted but doesn't define civilian.

During the Israeli - Hizballah war the muslims stated that the civilian populace supported the military and were therefore members of the military themselves. If you read the fatwa the term civilian is nowhere defined regardless of how many times it is used.

Another factor to be taken into consideration is the policy of taqiyya (in Arabic: deception.) That policy is used in conjunction with the ambigous sense of its terms to mask the intent of the fatwa. The Islamic religion has tarried too long in making its announcements of solidarity with the west.

The religion has been defined by the ones who call themselves holy warriors. The fact that they are terrorists has implicated anyone who stood around wishing they would go away while doing nothing.

Not a prob! I have always liked Marines, we jump in the shit and they always happy to drag us back out! And their friends with the pretty boats are OK,too.

We had a send off party yesterday for a Marine heading back to Al Anbar(3rd tour), packed him off with an incredible hangover and a belly full of BBQed pork!

And anyone gives you shit about standing tall for the Corps, then apply the immortal advice of MCPO Roy Boehm. Fuck the fucking fuckers.

Not related to this post, but from jihadwatch.com speaking in relation to the Cold War..."Yes, there was a lot of attempting to win hearts and minds. There was also a lot of clear-eyed confrontation of the Communist ideology. Where is today's Radio Free Europe, beaming anti-jihadist broadcasts into the Islamic world? Who would dare to establish it?" RADIO FREE FROGMAN!!!!! The world needs you!!!

I have longly and loudly called for parking two of the strongest communications satellites we possess in geosynch orbits and flood all broadcast bandwidth. TVLand,VH1,WeatherChannel,SpikeTV,CartoonNetework. It would be a slaughter, great and grim.
