Since you can feel my pain, then revel in my schadenfreude as well: picture a very typical college, vegan type couple (complete with hemp clothes and eau de patchouli...and PETA buttons, did they realize they were acting as oppressors that day?) attempting to "get back to a more natural way of life"...goes to aforementioned rural heritage days and both have a go at the plowing exhibit (featuring Becky the Percheron and plow, courtesy of some local Amish). I'll give them props for being good sports -- because they were the butt of some pretty biting remarks and laughter. It was freaking hilarious -- at least they used Becky; it would have been tragic if an actual pull team had been in place -- hemp sandals and dreadlock/cornrow braids caught up in the slipstream.
