A comment by Valerie on Case study ♠ Étude de cas

I remember the day driving in the car, I carelessly turned on France Info and actually screamed back at the radio when the 'journaleux'/pseudo-journalist said that the Iraq was now OCCUPIED by the Americans. It was maybe 1 - 2 days after the fall of Baghdad. Reminded me of 9/11. Sympathy and tea for about 2 days (Am I exaggerating? I don't FEEL like I am.) and then the French media was implying that the USA had gotten what it deserved. Truly disgraceful. Couldn't they see that they were playing into the terrorists' hands by condoning that do-everything-but-give-America-credit mindset? Obviously not. If French 'journalists' can't do their job, how can we expect the media feeding the 'Arab street' to be any better? Valerie
