"Walker" isn't great, and it's not really much like Texas. But the Rangers have a well-deserved reputation for toughness. In the early days, they were killers with a smidgen of justice, and they didn't fool around. An early motto was "One riot, one Ranger"
You know, Texas was a sovereign nation at one time, and never officially modified its constitution to surrender sovereignty to the US, and some of us still behave as though we don't bow to Washington. I'm a passionate Texas "patriot", and live in China now, so I appreciate your site for dual reasons. If you want to know more about Texas, or China, let me know and I'll be happy to fill you in.
