The European Foundation in its Intelligence Digest # 175, quotes an interview with Winrich Behr, (who joined Jean Monnet, the European Union "father" and is listed in the honorary committee of the Jean Monnet association), in La Quinzaine Européenne, a pro-EU monthly:I see no problem in transferring foreign and security policy to the federal European level.Well, of course...
Winrich Behr apparently lead a rich and captivating life, considering that he served in the 6th German army commander's staff under Marshal Paulus and then under Marshal Rommel during WWII (Scroll down to #11).
Mr Behr holds the Knight Cross of the Afrika Corps.
(Blunt, heavy, persistent silence)
As far as the EU is concerned, Mr Behr believes that:
There is not much difference between the president of the High Authority [the forerunner of the European Commission] and a Heeresgruppe [army group]. In both cases, there is a chief and his collaborators who must give him solutions in a short time.Sure. What can't be done by a Panzer division can be done by a bureaucrats' federation.
Glad to know that there are people with expertise around this huge bureaucratic, freedom destroying superstate.
The European Union. Pick up your favorite Socialism flavor.
We have all of them.
