I know I wrote yesterday that I wouldn't be posting in the coming days but I just couldn't ignore this.Without a doubt the French part of the Saddam led coalition, in its full arrogance and intellectual dishonesty, will dismiss the Vilnius Group's call.
For a great power such as France, my dear, it's insignificant. (Remember the "vassals" frustrated comment?).
But how will they dismiss the feelings and voices of the Muslims majority in Kosovo?
How do you dismiss the words of a doctor and father of a three year old girl named "Madeleine" in honor of Madeleine Albright when he says "When I see scenes on television of people elsewhere burning American flags, I'm deeply hurt" ?
Or when he says "If there is a God, his missionaries on Earth are Americans" ?
Tell me how you dismiss that when it's coming from a people who went through hell because of a conjunction between Europe's hatred and impotence and got out of it thank to America?
Tell me how, but more than that, tell me what gives you the right to do so.
There are American flags fluttering on the common people's homes in Kosovo.
There were some in Normandy as well when I went on a personal pilgrimage to the D-Day beaches and the Allied graves, three months ago.
I just hope they're still there.
