Alcee Hastings of Florida said at a panel about the shared agenda of Jewish and African-American Democrats Wednesday. Hastings, who is African-American, was explaining what he intended to tell his Jewish constituents about the presidential race. “Anybody toting guns and stripping moose don't care too much about what they do with Jews and blacks. So, you just think this through,” Hastings added as the room erupted in laughter and applause.So let's sneer a bit: this black guy is in effect telling his audience that Jews and blacks are like, you know, animals and all.
And they applaud him.
Either that, or he is claiming this as Sarah Palin's position on The Toting of Guns And Other Practical Uses of The Boomstick. That would be defamatory for a start but then again: defamation is the very least you can expect from a Democrat.
It is also particularly stupid, and denotes the man's singular ignorance of what guns and hunting are all about: I mean does Alcee Hastings seriously expect the sane people in the audience to believe that in addition to moose, Sarah Palin also has a taste for Jew burger and black burger?
Yeah, stupid only comes second in the short list of what one can reasonably expect from a Democrat.
In addition to that, considering that nothing in Sarah Palin's deeds and pledges ever hinted at her intention or dedication to have subarctic Jews and black hunting safaris (and, perhaps, redecorate the Oval Office's walls with her trophies) then we can only conclude that Alcee Hastings' appalling paranoid rant is nothing more than plain old projection—and one that adds the third pillar to his address to that so-called "panel about the shared agenda of Jewish and African-American Democrats", and perhaps his own character as well:
Defamatory, stupid, and vicious.
Or maybe I'm just being nasty with poor old Alcee, and he just meant to say that since Sarah Palin holds her rank in the food chain, then poor old Alcee logically deduces that she won't be very nice to Jews and blacks. Or something.
For Alcee Hastings and his Merry Band of Applauding Morons that may sound logical—but for the rest of us that's non sequitur at its finest.
While only slightly less vicious and defamatory, it does proceed logically from stupid.

Froggy, you ain't even scratched the surface concerning Alcee! This socialist asshole has 2 decades worth of crap like this for our entertainment. He is also up to ass in Fannie and Freddie payola, and was a primary defender of Willie Jeff and his serial sexual assault of Federal employees.
Just a couple of years ago he was saying much the same thing about W and Cheney, ditto 1999. In '93 and '94 he spewed the exact same crap concerning Republican candidates for Congress. He has one schtick and it is "blame whitey" and tell Negroes and Jews that they are all too stupid to run their own lives.

Monsieur Frogman: If you go to the not totally unreliable wikipedia, you would see that Alcee Hastings was only the sixth Federal judge in US history to be removed from the bench, for taking bribes and perjury. He was impeached from the bench by a Democratically controlled Congress in 1988, ran for office in Florida in 1992 and has run virtually unopposed since.
He represents the high ethical standard of modern liberalism in the US.

Ah, I saw this on the news yesterday -- good ol Alcee trotting out the race card and the "whitey oppressor" card, with bonus points for the "Jews, you just like us 'cause them damn Nazis were whitey too" card. How many federal laws has good ol Alcee broken so far?
Jeez, this guy is one of the biggest panderers...of course he's a big buddy of the Clintons too I believe.
The Dems must be needing to hit the race/Nazi card big time in FL. I can see why -- their internal polls must be showing them something. Jewish Americans haven't really taken a shine to Obama like they should as good little Democrats, and while I think Obama has the majority of the Black American vote, I still don't think he has as much of a majority as they let on -- most everyone I talk to isn't keen on him at least.
As for the applause, DF welcome to race pandering in America -- victimology 101 is what this is. Make some nasty quips thrown in with a good bit of "the oppressors are just looking to lynch you" scare tactics, plant some sychophants in the crowd to drum up support, and the sheep will forget all about anything else, even their own hatred of each other in order to share in the brother/sisterhood of the victim golden moment. It's ridiculous, and shows just how stupid people really are -- yes, you can insult them, threaten them, and even be promising to give their rights away just as long as they get to chimp up and down for a few minutes, reveling in their victimhood while throwing poop (rhetorical and figurative and sometimes literal) at the dehumanized figurehead.
