Rumors about my unemployment have been greatly exaggerated.
I understand I didn't make myself clear yesterday: I'm not an unemployed graphic & web designer. I'm running my own, independent business.
All I meant was that I had the required resources to tap new markets right now.

But of course, looking at how my country performs economically, I understand the imbroglio.

By the way, no Raellian hotties pictures yet. As usual... Promises, promises.

Xanga sucks

The problem with Xanga is that you have to register with them to be allowed to comment my posts. Although it's free, I understand it's quite boring.
Now it appears to me that the whole comments system is somehow...rickety.
I just found out that a band of braves went through the hassle of registering and commented a few post.
I've never been notified by Xanga (although I should have been) and, as seen from here, comments number indicator was never updated (at least on the main page).
It could have something to do with their "Xanga Skin" feature, I don't know.

Anyway, I want to apologize once again, and this time, for not answering people's comments or answering them too late. I'll be keeping an eye on that carefully from now on.

And three cheers for the Los Alamos National Laboratory employees.

Xanga rocks

The great thing with Xanga is that you have to register with them to be allowed to comment my posts. It's a free, easy and straightforward process.

And sometimes, it can trigger something bigger than a simple comment.

Take AlexPGPG for instance. AlexPGP drop me a mail this morning (for the second time. We already exchanged mail some weeks ago about a... well. Never mind - By the way Alex, I wrote 'million' billions of times and 'billion' millions of times. I won't make that mistake again, I promise) telling me that while trying to comment one of my posts, he was offered a blog by Xanga.

Which he accepted.

Even though I don't claim to have some kind of mystical foreknowledge, I'm quite sure we won't regret he did.

So fasten your seatbelts Ladies and Gentlemen for it is my honor to introduce to you...

In his mail, AlexPGP states that "It will take me some time to work up a good head of steam".

Judging by his very first post, I kind of disagree with that.

Well, no, Xanga sucks

Xanga is not a bad service. In fact, it can even be considered as a good one. The price (for premium accounts) is fair and it's working smoothly enough.

It's just those little annoyances.

I already mentioned the comments glitch but there are a few other aspects that really get on my nerves sometimes.

Anyway, since Gary, over there at TFS Reluctant used parts of my Axis of Weasels artwork to set up a store at CafePress and offered me a share on the benefits (told you I had the required resources to tap new markets right now), I may very well get myself a 'classical' hosting solution and move the Dissident Frogman to a new, Moveable Type powered dacha.

Oh and... I just got an email from Gary.
He's telling me that an unknown buyer actually ordered the thong.

Maybe one of those Raellian hotties is serious about that 'Love' thing and all.

Jeez... can't wait for those pictures.

Les rumeurs concernant mon licenciement ont été très exagérées.
Je comprends maintenant que je n'ai pas été assez clair hier : je ne suis pas un graphiste et web designer au chômage. Je travaille en indépendant, pour mon propre compte.
Je voulais simplement signifier que j'ai les ressources requises pour attaquer de nouveaux marchés en ce moment.

Mais bien entendu, à en juger par les performances économiques de mon pays, j'imagine que la confusion est compréhensible.

A propos, toujours pas de photos de chaudes Raelliennes. Comme d'habitude... Des promesses et rien que des promesses.

Xanga c'est nul

Le problème avec Xanga, c'est qu'il faut s'enregistrer auprès d'eux pour commenter mes posts. Bien que cela soit gratuit, je reconnais que c'est plutôt agaçant.
De plus, j'ai l'impression que tout le système de commentaires est un peu... bancal.
Je viens seulement de m'apercevoir qu'une bande de braves ont affronté l'enregistrement et commenté quelques uns de mes posts.
Je n'en ai jamais été notifié par Xanga (alors que j'aurais dû) et vu d'ici, l'indicateur de nombre de commentaires n'a jamais reflété cet état de fait (en tout cas, sur la page principale).
C'est peut être en rapport avec cette fonction "Xanga Skin" mais je n'en sais trop rien.

Quoi qu'il en soit, je tiens à m'en excuser à nouveau, cette fois pour ne pas avoir répondu à vos commentaires, ou pas à temps. Je vais soigneusement garder un oeil là dessus à partir de maintenant.

Et trois bans pour les employés du Los Alamos National Laboratory.

Et parfois, ça peut déclencher quelque chose de plus ambitieux qu'un simple commentaire.

Prenez AlexPGP par exemple. AlexPGP m'a envoyé un mail ce matin (pour la seconde fois. Nous avions déjà échangé de la correspondance il y a quelques semaines à propos de... Bon. Peu importe - Au fait Alex, j'ai écrit 'million' des milliards de fois et 'billion' des millions de fois. Je ne ferais plus cette erreur, c'est promis) m'informant qu'en voulant commenter un de mes posts, il s'était vu offrir un blog par Xanga.

Qu'il a accepté.

Même si je ne proclame pas être doué de prescience mystique, je suis quasiment certain que nous n'aurons pas à regretter sa décision.

Attachez votre ceinture Mesdames et Messieur car c'est un honneur pour moi de vous présenter...

A en juger par son premier post, je suis plutôt enclin à désapprouver ça.

En fait, non, Xanga c'est nul

Xanga n'est pas un mauvais service. En fait, c'est même plutôt bien. Le prix (pour les comptes 'premium') est raisonnable et ça fonctionne correctement.

Il y a juste ces petits désagréments.

J'ai déjà parlé des disfonctionnements avec les commentaires mais il y a aussi d'autres caractéristiques qui ont un peu tendance à m'agacer parfois.

Quoi qu'il en soit, étant donné que Gary à TFS Reluctant a utilisé des parties de mon travail sur l'Axe des Blaireaux pour monter une boutique chez CafePress et m'a offert une participation sur les bénéfices (je vous avais prévenu que j'ai les ressources requises pour attaquer de nouveaux marchés en ce moment), je vais probablement m'offrir une solution d'hébergement 'classique' et emménager le Dissident Frogman dans une nouvelle dacha fondée sur Moveable Type.

Oh et à propos... Je viens de recevoir un mail de Gary.
Il m'annonce qu'un string a été vendu.

Peut être qu'une de ces chaudes Raelliennes est sérieuse à propos de ce truc de "l'Amour" finalement.
