Yo Bro! Where's the Black Panther Party when you really need it?

Those Americans. They won't stop oppressing and jailing black people:
African Immigrant Found Guilty of Human Trafficking
A Togolese woman accused of forcing girls from Africa to work in New Jersey hair braiding salons for no pay has been convicted of human trafficking and visa fraud in a case her lawyer says highlighted African cultural norms that failed to translate in America.

(...) women [between the age of 10 and 19 — DF] were beaten, psychologically abused and, in some cases, sexually abused, while being kept from phoning home, contacting friends or family, or accessing their passports and other documents.
All that at the hand of what her lawyer, Bukie Adetula, describes as "a benevolent mother figure", and her husband.

Now you could say that we see this pattern of behavior within "certain" immigrant communities all over the Western world—and not just in the USA— but Mama's lawyer knows better than y'all bunch of pale-faced rednecks. According to him, it's the culture, stupid: what the mean nasty U.S government calls slave-like is "merely a West African custom of protecting young girls by making sure they were tightly supervised".

I suppose that by these standards, Roman Polanski makes the perfect father figure.

Anyway, the real issue here is that you should all know by now that enslaving is only Whitey what does it!

Especially so when Whitey's an evil Secessionist Southerner Slaveholder. Like, for example, William Ellison: third-largest slaveholder in South Carolina, "owning" more than 60 slaves by 1860 (putting him in the top 5% of slaveholders in SC—and owning more slaves than 99% of the South's slaveholders), and staunch supporter of the Confederate cause: one of the richest men in South Carolina, his family lost it all after the war between the States because they put their dough in Confederate bonds. His oldest grandson served in the 1st South Carolina Artillery and was wounded in action on July 12, 1863.

Okay, so they were black too.

Wrong example. My mistake.

Good post, DF.  I didn’t even know there had been black slave owners in the US.

I offer you a video from Youtube which mentions that only 5% of slaves ended up in what is now the USA, the rest were shipped to Central and South America.  So this is not just an American problem (obviously).

Off topic:  Canada’s still debating the question of polygamy.  The government of British Colombia will go to the province’s supreme court to review the "human rights" of two Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints leaders.

One of them is married to 19 women, the other one only three.

I’m so glad we live in an age of hope and change, human rights and denial,  pain and tears,  bullshit and political spin…

Ok, I’m rambling on.  Great post sir.  Toujours un plaisir.

Hypocrisy=Democrats.  You know, Barri has a connection to slavery, his ancestors rounded up Negroes and sold them into slavery. That counts, right?

I’ve no hope at all that the Obama administration will do anything right (and so far, they haven’t) but if they should do so, I’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Man, Diana Ross looks really pissed off.  If I promise to buy a Supremes Gretest Hit Without the Supremes will she lighten up?

Here’s Ellison’s grave and his family…

Two hundred years ago, everybody had slaves…historically they where treated

the best in America…the worst, in Tenochtitlan(Mexico City)...they ATE THEM!!!

At the rate of 500,000 a year! Same in Africa, the one the ay-rabs did not buy to sell off to slave ships or

to transport to the umma where butchered alive on the spot and sold to the public to eat for supper…

The Romans and the ay-rabs enslaved millions…and their fate was not much better

than the Mexican’s…most where worked to death without even being fed.

Christian rowing slaves in muslim galleys where sitting in their

own feces to the armpits and where tossed overboard at the slightest pretext.

They where so numerous as to be worth less than an onion, according to the chronikers.

Christianity is the only religion to oppose slavery and eventually had it abolished.

Pensez y bien la prochaine fois que vous mangerez du curé!
